Sage Ridge Supportive Residential Community
Located in on 560 acres in unincorporated Arapahoe County, the Sage Ridge Supportive Residential Community, opening in 2025, is a new Denver Metro Area campus that will welcome individuals from across the state who are experiencing homelessness and seeking addiction recovery support. Individuals may stay for up to two years of transitional housing recovery on a voluntary basis. This new project is modeled after the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless’ (the Coalition) Fort Lyon Supportive Residential Community, which has served thousands of Coloradans for over a decade through integrated healthcare within a trauma-informed transitional housing recovery model.
Within this recovery centered community, participants will receive services that include integrated healthcare, vocational training, case management, and peer-supported staffing that fosters autonomy and self-care. Through this integrated approach, individuals will have the ability to recover from substance use disorders as well as homelessness--ultimately leading to long-term housing stability and reintegration into their community of choice for successful participants. The Coalition will also operate an on-site health center focused on the CCH integrated health model.
A separate recovery provider will host 27 detox beds on campus, which will allow residents who relapse or are struggling with sobriety to stabilize on-site, and then return to the recovery program side when ready. At full capacity, the Sage Ridge Supportive Residential Community will support 198 participants.
Formerly the Ridge View Youth Services Center, Sage Ridge was transferred from the Colorado Department of Human Services to the Department of Personnel Administration for use by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), Division of Housing in 2022 as a result of the passage of House Bill 22-1377. The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) selected the Coalition to be the operating on-site partner.
The Sage Ridge program is scheduled to open referrals for all community participants beginning in the fall of 2025 in a limited capacity, contingent on current construction. The site is expected to have full services available by the end of fall of 2026.
